遠離「塑」命-海需要開發淡菜足絲

近年來馬祖海漂垃圾及廢水污染的問題日益嚴重,對自然海景與生態環境的破壞力不容小覷,於是我們欲找尋替代物減輕對環境的傷害。馬祖餐桌上必有的美食-淡菜,食用前總把不可食用的強韌「足絲」剔除,我們由此天然的廢棄物作為發想,逐一透過實驗結果證實淡菜足絲的強度、耐熱、耐酸鹼、可染色和可分解的特性,符合作為尼龍替代物的需求;特別的是足絲同時具備優異的吸附重金屬能力,將使環境可逐漸恢復最初的潔淨。運用足絲的各項優點,我們開發出各式生活編織品及淨水器。足絲有著環保、低成本、功效佳等優點,因此可透過廢物再利用達到減少海洋汙染的期望。

酷到極點-談冷劑降溫與拉午耳定律

去年冬天,全球許多地方降下大風雪,新聞報導積雪太深時可以用鹽巴灑在冰上讓冰溶化。而我們常用的冷劑-冰加鹽可以降溫至零下22℃。對這些現象,一般的解釋有兩種-解釋一:鹽溶於水是吸熱而冰溶化也是吸熱,所以會大幅降溫。解釋二:拉午耳定律-溶液蒸氣壓下降造成凝固點下降,導致冰溶化。研究結果顯示,溶解熱並非影響冷劑降溫之最主要因素,而是鹽類在低溫時之溶解度。拉午耳定律中提及溶液蒸氣壓下降導致凝固點下降,也不是冷劑降溫之原因。不過,我們認為由鹽類在低溫時之溶解度,配合與拉午耳定律可以預測冷劑可達的最低溫。

Low Cost Housing and Sanitation based on Hygiene

I live in the harbor town of Walvis Bay in the heart of Namib Desert which\r is surrounded by sea and dunes and both are famous in the world. Walvis\r Bay is situated in Namibia formally known as South West Africa.\r Walvis Bay is a fishing industry town with an international harbor\r The population of Walvis Bay is about 54000 people and growing daily.\r Our fish is daily exported to many European and some of Asian countries.\r Industry in Walvis Bay is contributing nearly 50% to the Namibian economy.\r The town has also been declared as an EPZ (Economic Production Zone). Its\r harbor serves as a corridor to the neighboring land locked countries.\r Walvis Bay offers more job possibilities than most other Namibian towns.\r Every year many jobless people, even foreigners, stream to this town to\r seek employment as laborers or as specialists in the various industries.\r These people are in need of accommodation and often have to make due\r with any sort of shelter in Walvis Bay.

柏拉圖時代就被發現的五個正多面體,一直吸引著人們的好奇心。它們經常出現在國小的教科書以及一般補充教材上,不過通常都是利用它們來介紹尤拉公式,對於另一個令人感到興趣的問題 ─“展開圖”的介紹卻不是很詳盡。在我們的研究中,對於正六面體與正八面體,我們找出了一組簡單、易記的模式,來判斷某個平面圖是否為正六面體或正八面體的展開圖,同時我們也找出了一個利用基本模式,就能產生所有正六面體與正八面體的展開圖的方法。

從事棒球教學十年來,深覺教導選手「擊球」技術遠比教導「守備」技術困難,原來擊球技術深受先天眼力的影響,因此選拔選手尤須重視銳力的眼力,我們知道各個球員,各有不同的打擊率,這個正是動態目標,視覺的差異,目前眼科除了色盲檢驗,遠近視檢驗,或散光檢驗,斜視檢驗之外,似乎還沒有動態目標,瞄準力的檢驗,於是產生了研究「動態目標視力檢驗器」以為選拔精英。

在升學主義越來越興盛的社會中,考試成績成為人人關心的重點,這\r 次研究就是藉由數理資優班同學的各學期在校成績和指定考科成\r 績,透過迴歸分析,找出各學期成績與指考成績之間的關係,並利用\r 圖表來解釋各種科目在各學期的課程,在高中三年所學的重要性,在\r 藉由此結果,希望能對目前老師的教育重點及學生學習方式能有所幫\r 助,亦可了解學生在高中求學過程中,哪些階段對指考成績較有正面\r 影響,進而強化該學習階段,以有助在指定考科時能充分發揮所學。\r \r In a society that emphasize on degrees, examination scores become the\r spotlight, and the ultimate goal for a high school student who had worked\r so hard for three years is to achieve high scores in the J.C.E.E. In the\r three years of high school, each subject has different topics each semester,\r but which semester has the most decisive effect on the J.C.E.E. score?\r This research is to study the effect of each semester on the J.C.E.E. by\r analyzing the grades of a science and math talented class in Senior High\r School using Regression analysis to find out the connections between\r term grades and the J.C.E.E. Then finding out which term grades had the\r most decisive effect in each subject. By using the result, we hope it can\r help teachers in their teaching and students in their learning. Also, it can\r provide the information about which stage in high school has positive\r effects on J.C.E.E. grades, therefore enabling students to emphasize on\r that stage in order to perform well on the J.C.E.E.

Technology of web site advancement

Internet by its content represents a fountain of information, while from the point of view of its arrangement it is a huge dump. There are an enormous number of web sites. Multiple web sites are commercially directed, i.e. are aimed at profit earning. As profit depends on the number of visits to web site, no visitors means no profit. So, to obtain more orders, web site producers should first of all ensure good inflow of visitors (web site attendance). Every year this task becomes more and more critical for commercial web site owners (and not only for them), as the number of similar content web sites increases steadily along with competition intensifying correspondingly. The process of establishing conditions to attract more visitors is called web site advancement. The present paper discusses various ways of how to increase the number of web site visitors, it also describes the particular process of "Theater to Children" (www.teatrbaby.ru) web site advancement. Based on the paper outcomes a CD multimedia manual "Technology of web site advancement" has been developed that will help web site producers to achieve good attendance for their network resources. As the purpose of web site advancement is visitor number increase then the main criterion of web site advancement efficiency should be the number of visitors for a certain time period, e.g. for 24 hours, a week or a month. Taking into consideration that about 80% of Internet users retrieve information through search systems, the major growth of visitors will occur owing to the enhancement of web site visibility in search systems.

水塔自動定時清洗裝置

本研究是設計一個清洗水塔的自動化流程與設備,來取代需要專業人員的清洗水塔工作。這個清洗裝置有下列幾項特色:特色1:具有定時功能,讓使用者不用特地以手動操作來清洗,所以在忙碌的生活中,清洗裝置也能達到自動清洗功能,來保持住戶用水的品質。特色2:清洗之前,有一段水位控制時間,會將住戶用水的水位保持在低水位,以免浪費太多水源,一來環保,二來省錢。特色3:以自動清洗來替代人力清洗,除了省時、省力,也不用花太多金錢清洗水塔,就能有好品質的水。特色4:進水時進行一般灑水動作,跟進水一起同部進行,這樣可以使表壁邊的細塵被沖洗掉,而不容易形成髒污,達到維持乾淨的效果。

斬不斷,理還亂—方塊切割

看到環球城市數學競賽2003年春季賽國中組試題中,一題有關方格遊戲的問題: \r \r 在一塊9 × 9的正方形方格紙板中,最多可以挑選幾個小方格, \r 使得沿著這些小方格的二條對角線割開後,原正方形方格紙板 \r 不會分裂為二片或二片以上(即沒有小片紙板會從原正方形紙板 \r 中“掉下來”)?\r \r 原題目雖然只有一種圖形解,但我們發覺在其他方格紙板中,圖形解不一,在對幾個圖形分析和研究過後,發覺“似乎”有其特定作圖法,而且可挑選的小方格數也頗有發展的地方,令我們覺得相當有趣,而且此題目和之前看過方格類的問題不大一樣,因此,決定以此問題當作科展主題,加以延伸、研究,自我挑戰。
