探討如何自製便宜的耐強酸鹼實驗桌面

多數學生於實驗過程難免因不小心,而將試劑滴落於實驗桌面上,致造成桌面的損傷,尤其強酸、強鹼。目前大部分的學校為避免維修的困擾,通常選擇購買動輒超過十萬的耐強酸、鹼進口實驗桌面。這回本校即將購進的實驗桌桌面材料,廠商特別送來樣品,老師指導我們負責檢驗其抗酸鹼強度的效果,而引發我們想進一步探討如何自製經濟實用的耐強酸、鹼實驗桌面。

呼風喚雨

「大雨大雨一直下???? 」想要讓天空中的水掉下來(降水),可不容易!首先,一定要使空氣中的水氣達到飽和。但不是飽和的水氣,就會凝結而降水,往往還需要空氣中的小微粒(例如:灰塵、煙、花粉?)附著,才能形成小水滴或冰晶,而這些小微粒就是我們所要研究的對象~凝結核(condensationnuclei)。凝結核的種類非常多,我們可運用人工的方式,將凝結核散佈在空氣中,除了讓小水滴附著外,也可降低溫度,增加凝結的效果,達到降水(圖A)的目的,這就叫做「人造雨」(rainmaking)。期望我們的實驗能找到最佳造雨的條件,除了解決缺水的問題,還能兼顧自然環境的保護。此外,古代人們擺設香案,祭天求雨,其實是以燒出來的煙飄到空中,做為凝結核,達到下雨的目的,這是有科學根據,與神蹟無關喔!

Cable Stripper

PURPOSE OF THE RESEARCH \r The purpose of this project is to provide a cost-effective and efficient way of \r stripping electrical conductors, with thicknesses of 16mm up to 70mm in diameter, \r of their isolation. The current methods that are available are unsafe and unpractical. \r Therefore this project determines a safe way of stripping cables and also provides a \r new product to improve the worker’s safety during the process of stripping cables. \r PROCEDURES \r The solution can be found by doing research on the types of cable isolations \r currently on the market. By talking to the workers who use these types of tools, and \r strip these types of cables on a daily basis, I can comprehend the problems posed by \r the present methods and provide a solution. \r DATA \r An electrical cable is commonly a conductive wire surrounded by a nonconductive, \r insulation sleeve. In order to splice two cables together or connect the \r cable to an electrical device, the conductive wire inside the sleeve needs to be \r exposed. \r Numerous tools have been developed for slitting and stripping the electrical \r cable in order to expose the said conductive wire. The simplest tool is a knife with \r which the user makes an annular cut in the sheathing. The end portion of the \r sheathing then is pulled away exposing the individually insulated wires and the bare \r ground wire. The knife may also be used to cut away a short portion of the \r insulation at the ends of the wires. During both operations the user has to be \r extremely careful, or else the knife blade may damage the insulation around the \r internal wires and even nick the conductor or he may injure himself. To do so the \r user must first cut away several inches of the plastic sheathing at the end of the \r cable. A short length of the insulation then is removed from around each end of the \r conductors. \r As an alternative to using a knife, various scissors-like wire strippers have been \r developed. Although such scissors-like wire strippers are effective for removing the \r insulation from individual wires within an electrical cable, they are not efficient for \r removing the sheathing from the end of the cable in order to expose the individually \r insulated wires. \r A disadvantage of using a conventional knife and with using the known wire \r stripper is that a cable having a relatively thick insulation sleeve is difficult to strip \r and thus prepare for connections, since conventional wire stripping tools and other \r conventional devices, such as knives or tools with enclosed blades are inefficient for \r stripping thicker cable jackets. \r A further disadvantage of the known wire strippers is that, its basic \r characteristic dictates that the degree of friction between the tool and the wire after \r the insulation has been ringed will be high. This occasions no particular difficulty \r when only a short length of insulation is to be removed from the end of the wire. \r However, when yards and yards of insulation are to be stripped, as may be the case \r when reel ends are to be prepared for scrapping, the conventional wire stripper \r generates so much friction that it cannot be efficiently utilised. \r CONCLUSION \r The developed product enables workers to effectively strip electrical \r conductors without any impeding danger to themselves or the risk of damaging said \r cable. It is cost-effective and saves a lot of time. After several tests of the product no \r problems have been encountered up to this point.

食鹽結晶的探討

在實驗室一個偶然的機會裹,把鹽酸滴到飽和食鹽水中,食鹽水竟突然變白,並產生許多沈激物,經仔細檢驗的結果,是「食鹽的小結晶」。而連想到市面上所賣的或在實驗室裹,以蒸發水分製取的食鹽,都很難觀察出其呈立方體的形狀,若能用像上面的方法,來製取大顆粒的結晶,不是既便於觀察,又可應用在教學上,使學生能更進一步的明瞭嗎?因此,便動了研究的念頭,而進行了下面的各項實驗。

圓來如此---千變萬化橢圓切割器

當一圓以圓心為原點作出座標軸,其兩軸長度是相同的,若兩軸長度不同時就會產生橢圓,而且因為長短軸的不同長度就會有不同的橢圓產生。在橢圓的畫法研究上,使用動態幾何繪圖軟體來模擬機構設計,並做可行性機構研究,最後以 SOLID WORKS 軟體完成機構零件設計與模擬。零件經機械加工,組合後試用,再針對試用上的缺點改善,最後完成本創作進行畫橢圓,也可以切割出任意橢圓的功能。成品完成後,將機構反置,以鉛筆繪製圖形,可以得到擺線的圖形。擺線圖形的基圓直徑與滾圓直徑大小會影響擺線外型,因此文中亦探討本作品各控制點位置對所繪出擺線曲線之影響。

利用半錐角定義導出數位多元量測系統之研究

當我們完成加工工件,或加工過程要檢驗錐度、角度、垂直度等量測時,會 發現現有之量具有很多缺點,因而造成在量測方面有很多的困擾。如下︰ (一)單一功能︰ 如︰萬能量角器,只能量角度,且僅表達度、分、秒,碰到錐度、垂直度, 用長度關係表示者,即不適合使用。 (二)操作困難︰ \r 1 三次元量測除須死記操作程式外,還要製作固定基準面之夾具。 \r 2 用塊規、圓棒量測錐度時須計算(T=Δd/L)外,圓棒置放於塊規上,容易滾 動,不易量測。 \r \r 3.用正弦桿量測錐度,除須要計算外,還需要製作固定夾具,否則易滾動。 (三)笨重不易搬動或環境不適合︰ 如︰三次元及光學投影比較儀,由於機體笨重及現場環境,如溫度、濕度、 灰塵??等,不佳情況下並不適合在工作現場使用。 (四)無明確量測數據︰ \r 如︰直角規、角度塊規,只能作比較,用目視看透光程度,至於誤差多少, 則無法用明確數據表現出來。 \r 基於以上種種缺點或困擾,激發我們對錐度、角度、垂直度等,高精度、操 作簡便之多功能量測系統研究的興趣。 \r

Effects of Transition Metal Ions on the Thermal Stability,Fire Retardant Properties and Rheological

A study was conducted to improve the thermal stability, fire retardant (FR)\r properties and rheological properties of ethy-lene vinyl acetate because of\r its growing use in commercial applications. The approach employed\r was to modify an organo-clay, Closite 20A (C20A), with transition metal\r ions (TMI). In this study eight transition metal salts were acquired for\r modification. It was observed that all TMI modified organoclay\r nanocomposites improved thermal stability through thermo-gravimetric\r analysis (TGA). Rheological testing was done using a parallel plate\r measuring system (PP MS) to determine the dependence of storage\r modulus and loss modulus of copper and iron modified organoclay\r nanocomposites relative to pure EVA 350. The process of gelation was\r also tested for by calculating the ratio between the loss modulus and the\r storage modulus. It was found that copper modified organoclay\r nanocomposites promoted gelation and thus decreased the fluidity of\r EVA 350. The intercalation of the TMI modified organoclays with the\r polymer matrix was determined by the use of small angle X-ray\r scattering (SAXS). Testing revealed that the intercalation was\r successful, further proving that the TMIs had improved thermal stability,\r FR properties and rheological properties,

我們拒吸二手煙─二手煙的毒性研究

上自然課時,林美菁同學提出問題說:「為何郵局和公車上都貼有『拒吸二手煙』的宣傳海報?二手煙對我們到底有什慶不好的影響 ?」尤振宇同學回答:「因為二手煙的味這很難聞嘛!」李宜軒同學接著說:「二手煙會使人得癌症。」?詠悌同學說:「聽我叔叔講,香煙抹上油就不會得癌症了,不知道是不是真的?」\r 我們為了更進一步了解二手煙對人體健康的影響情形,於是利用課餘時間,搜集有關資料,以小白鼠進行以下的實驗。

從前面看新型身高測量器

每一個人都非常注意自己身體的發育狀況,特別是在兒童時期,更是為父母及師長們所重視,學校裹每學期都有定期的身高測量與健康檢查,其目的也就是在使父母、師長都能適時的了解我們身體的發育狀況,以便能適時的做作恰當的營養與保健等工作的配合,使每一個正在發育中的兒童都能得到最好的「照料」,以期達到「強國必先強身」進而能夠「強身報國」。歡度健康快樂的人生之目的。「工欲善其事,必先利其器」,現在我們一般所使用的身高測量器,由於其設計的問題,使得在使用時十分不便,必須在量好後站下來回頭看,才能知道自己的身高是多少,有時甚至還得別人幫忙,才能量得正確,尤其是學校單位,測量時間都定在同一時段,數千學童逐班逐班大排長龍,同學們一個一個的上去,由別人代量報出身高數字,再由別人代為記錄,當事人完全不知是否量得正確,自己更是無法「親眼目睹」,一股「聽人擺佈」的「不快感」,充塞心頭,也強烈的激起了我們要「改」的念頭。

心理學家一致認為顏色的喜愛,足以代表個人的品格,性情和某種慾望,所以色彩與性向的關係,已被漸漸重視,並且列為新的學問,而與我們的生活息息相關。站在一個教育不作者的立場而言,我們時常發現學童對白底寫黑字的印刷,不感興趣,以致科目的學習效果不佳,這種現象是否與書報色彩的調配有密切的關係。

去年暑假輔導課時,老師講解聯考試題時,指出 67 年度聯考考過有關萃取溶質分配率平衡常數應用與 69 年度聯考考過氫鍵會合作用的觀念,但在高中化學實驗課程中未曾作過此類實驗,為了對這些問題有更深入了解,於是,我們嘗試以學過有關化學理論與實驗方法為基礎,再配合有關資料與較深入實驗方法,利用課餘時間,經過一學期的努力,終如願以償,今將內容及結論詳述如下,誠摯的希望閣下的批評、指教。
